Cupcakes

Got a request to do cupcakes for Halloween. I did chocolate cupcakes and vanilla cupcakes topped with chocolate cream cheese frosting. Vanilla cupcake bites with cream cheese frosting. Topped the frosting off with Reece's Pieces or M&M's. Hope the cllient enjoys them.

Candy Corn Cupcakes

Here's another treat I made for Halloween. The colors in the cupcake are ones you see in candy corn.

The taste of the cupcake also has a slight cornbread taste.

Skeleton Men

Getting into the Halloween spirit by making these little men for a dinner. It was so much fun using food paint.

Snickerdoodle Cookies

Tonight I am baking several batches of snickerdoodle cookies for a fundraiser. Many love these especially with the dough rolled in sugar and cinnamon. This is a favorite of Doug's. He often can not resist these cookies.

Bibingka

Lately I have been trying a few dessert recipes.  Tonight I decided to try to recreate a Filipino favorite - Bibingka.  

Bibingka is a rice cake mainly consisting of coconut milk and sweet rice flour.  In the Philippines it is normally baked in a mold or pan lined with banana leaves.

My version is baked in a regular cake pan and topped with sharp cheddar cheese.

I am very happy with the outcome and my taste testers seem to have enjoyed it.
